When Thorngrove Prep School in Berkshire approached me to capture the essence of their family run, outdoorsy school, I jumped at the change.

I believe in capturing the genuine essence of childhood through a natural approach to photography. Thorngrove wanted the schools ethos to speak for itself and be highlighted across all it’s marketing channels. We wanted to showcase the warmth and authenticity of the school environment, focusing on the connections and joy shared by the students and staff.

My approach is to create a comfortable and unobtrusive atmosphere, allowing the innate beauty and spirit of the children to shine through. I wanted to produce images that convey the vitality and character of the school community. To do this, I followed the children around across a week, not interrupting their flow and just allowing them to be themselves.
